A new elevator shaft top makes assembly more efficient
Usually, tops of precast elevator shafts are made by 4 walls and 1 plate on top. Consolis Spæncom has designed a precast unit, called “Elevatortop”, combining these 5 elements in 1. The unit has lifting hooks beneath the top plate to ease the installation of the elevator. The solution is stable without bracings and does not require the casting of vertical joints on-site which increases the safety and reduces the assembly time. The innovative solution is currently being deployed for the first time for the Stationskvarteret project, a residential building located in the new sustainable district of Nærheden in Hedehusene, Denmark.
