The five-storey residential building consumes very little energy thanks to efficient insulation, low infiltration rates and through TermoDeck® hollow-core slabs, a heating, ventilation and cooling system integrated into the concrete flooring.
Consolis provided precast concrete sandwich wall elements and concrete hollow-core slab floors, which were cast together to ensure optimum insulation. Air passes through the TermoDeck® system, allowing room temperatures in each apartment to be maintained between 20°C and 23°C. Air is heated by an 8.4 kW geothermal heat pump, covering 95% of the building’s energy consumption. In addition, a 10 kW electric heating coil is used as a backup during cold periods.
