Betonika supplied the precast concrete frame to the largest shopping and entertainment centre Akropolis in Kaunas, opened on April 10th 2007. This project is also unique because the old town buildings were integrated into the new construction. The Department of Protection of Lithuanian Cultural Heritage was supervising the project, to save the appearance of Kaunas Textile Factory, built in 1867, and to integrate the new shopping and entertainment centre Akropolis into it. The parking frame was designed by Betonika. It is the biggest one in Lithuania with 3 storeys and 65 000 m2. As Akropolis is located in central part of the town, this parking house will ease traffic problems nearby this major attraction in Kaunas."
