Consolis Russia/ZAO Parastek Beton has recently signed a significant contract for design, manufacturing and transportation of precast concrete frame structure for Multifunctional Retail and Entertainment Centre in Rostokino District in north-eastern Moscow, which will become the largest shopping and entertainment centre inside Moscow Ring Road.
The 3-4 storey complex will be located on a site of 18 ha alongside Prospect Mira, one of the largest avenues of the Russian capital. The overall area of the building is planned to be 336000 m². The centre will include a hypermarket, DIY store, electronics goods store, chain stores and smaller shops, 2 show rooms, a16 screen multiplex cinema and food court. There will be parking for 4600 cars including 1000 roof spaces. A motorway and railway located on the site will pass trough the building under the gallery of the second floor.
The centre is designed by the London branch of an international architect bureau RTKL and a Russian company Project Invest. Design of the frame structure including its stability and working drawings of prefabricated concrete elements will be made by Consolis Engineering Services as a subcontractor of Consolis Russia.
For this project Consolis Russia will supply approx 23 000 pcs of HC slabs, 4600 pcs of L- and DL- beams, over 3000 pcs of columns, 35 stair cases and 6 lift shafts. It is the biggest order for a frame structure in the history of Consolis and an absolute record for Consolis Russia.
The signing of the contract rewards longtime cooperation between Consolis Russia and Commercial Agency Gepard, which began in 2000 with successful realization of Golden Babylon project. Rostokino will be the fifth joint project of the companies.
The delivery of all elements (32000 pcs) is to be completed within 17 months.
