Acquisition of ASA Group - a leading Hungarian manufacturer of precast concrete - consolidates the presence of Consolis in Hungary, Romania, Ukraine and Serbia

Consolis Group acquired on July 21st 2008, 100% of ASA Group shares. ASA Group is a leading Hungarian manufacturer of precast concrete products working on four national markets: Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, and Serbia.

The company delivers mainly non-residential solutions - commercial centres, logistic warehouses, industrial floor-building, etc – and operates through five plants : two in Southern Hungary; one in Romania - property of ASA Romanian subsidiary ; one in Ukraine - as part of 3-Beton, a company owned one third by ASA ; and the last one in Serbia – belonging to ASA Ibelik, a company half-owned by ASA.

In the financial year 2007, ASA had about 320 employees in Hungary and 380 in Romania. The company registered a consolidated turnover of 76 M€ and generated 45 M€ net sales in Hungary, 28 M€ net sales in Romania, 16 M€ in Ukraine (1/3 ASA) and 2 M€ in Serbia (1/2 ASA).

Since its foundation in 1990, ASA Group has become one of the three leaders in precast products for non-residential buildings in this part of the world. Four senior managers have already decided to stay with the company for this new development.
