Over a century of experience and excellence

Consolis has roots set in concrete. Its powerful track record in concrete products is the result of a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.

Looking back, the group’s French flavour, Bonna and Sabla, were both founded in the 1890s as supplier of pressure pipes and lime manufacturer, respectively. They expanded rapidly, both geographically and vertically, gaining expertise in waste water engineering, civil engineering, railway sleepers and other areas. By the end of the 1990s, they had merged to form Bonna Sabla.

On the Consolis Oy side of the family, history of precast technology in construction business starts from 1940s. Consolis companies created this time, such as DW Beton in Germany, Strängbetong in Sweden, and Spanbeton in the Netherlands were forerunners in the introduction of this technology, which today has reached a high level of penetration in European building sector. The Finnish group Consolis Oy was formed in 1997 from the amalgamation of companies in Finnish Partek Precast Concrete and Swedish Strängbetong. Through acquisition and organic growth, Consolis subsequently rose to leadership in many new markets, such as the Baltic countries and Poland.

This long history has now come together in one concrete company - Consolis.

Worldwide reach

With a heritage stretching back over 100 years, the Consolis companies today are leaders in their respective markets. In fact, the merger of Finnish Consolis and French Bonna Sabla in 2005 turned the new Consolis into the European leader in pre-fabricated concrete, offering its customers the most advantageous and comprehensive solutions for building and civil works projects based on concrete products with over 100,000 references.
